Iain BENNETT-HOBBS
Having always had an obsession with creating things out of recycled materials from an early age this has now metamorphosed into The Wood Revival Company.
An Englishman, living in Portugal for over twenty years, with an obsession for creating unique art, lights and clocks utilising reclaimed wood.
A horticulturist by trade, and profoundly colourblind, he spends much of his time travelling to flower farms in Europe, Africa and the Americas which inspires his colourful creations.
‘Nothing is as timeless and beautiful as wood. Using reclaimed wood, giving it a second life that adds beauty to your home or office space adds a touch of satisfaction I cannot explain – it has become my passion and joy in life and I hope I can share this with you through my work’
Marcia Campos
Marcia has a passion for creating bespoke pieces using natural materials she collects on our hikes, often combining them with everyday recycled items, macrame and plants to create stunning mobiles, mirrors, lamp shades as well as art pieces perfect for decorating both outdoor and indoor spaces.
Having grown up in the capital Lisbon she is never happier than when she is far from the madding crowd scouring Portugal’s beaches for driftwood and sea shells dreaming of new creations
As you would expect, using recycled materials means that each creation is individual, even if the design is similar. We select individual items to add features and texture to each piece and are not afraid to leave nails, holes or imperfections which tell their own story and add to the history of the materials
Sustainability is becoming more and more important to the future of our planet and it’s a rare business that consumes more waste materials than it produces. The Wood Revival Company strives to be a positive impact on the environment whilst helping to create calm and beautiful living spaces where we can escape from the outside world to energise ourselves.
